The 2016 Gamla Cabernet Sauvignon features pleasing cherry and red plum fruit notes, light earth characters, and hints of fresh herb and cocoa. This classic Cabernet is full-bodied and flavorful.
While enjoyable now, Gamla Cabernet should improve in the bottle in for a few years, and will age nicely for some six to eight years from vintage. The wine goes wonderfully with pan-roasted free-range veal chops, barbecued lamb ribs, or Gruyere and mushroom tarts.
