The most planted variety at Excelsior. Vines vary in age from 5 - 20 years. Water stress is used to produce tiny, concentrated berries.

Appearance: Blackish plum in color

Aroma: Ripe black currants a plummy fruit. Soft ripe tannins balance toasty oak aromas and sweet fruit flavors.

Palate: Good structure with soft, clean finish
